Eligibility for Direct Admission to Board Toppers

BITS Pilani ensures guaranteed admission to students who have secured first ranks in their respective board examinations. This extends to both central and state boards, providing a pathway to highly meritorious and talented students. While toppers of the PCB stream are considered for B. Pharm. programmes only, all other top-scoring students can choose from various specializations based on their interest and aptitude.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission to Board Toppers

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Board Performance: To be considered as a topper, a candidate must secure the highest aggregate percentage of marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for PCM stream or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for PCB stream in their 12th class examinations (10 2). Subjects Undertaken: The candidate must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Mathematics) in their 12th class examinations. Adequate Proficiency in English: Sufficient proficiency in English is also required. A Minimum Aggregate Score: The candidate must have an aggregate score of at least 75 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology for PCB stream) with a minimum of 60 marks in each subject.

Different Programs and Specializations

For direct admission, candidates can apply for the following specializations at BITS Pilani:

First Degree Programmes: These include various engineering and technology programmes, where toppers from the PCM stream are eligible to apply. B. Pharm. Programme: This programme is exclusively open to students from the top ranks of the PCB stream.

The direct admission process is purely merit-based, and candidates are selected based on their performance in 12th class examinations and the specified subjects. In case the latest examination results are not available, earlier performances will not be considered.
