Essential iPhone Tips and Tricks for Every User

Enhancing Your iPhone Experience with Modern Features

As technology evolves, so do the features on the iPhone. Users can now take advantage of several exciting functions, such as Face ID with masks, advanced sharing capabilities, and text selection in photos. Here are some essential tips and features every iPhone user should know.

1. Face ID with Masks

For iOS 15 users, using Face ID with a mask is now possible. However, note that it is less secure and requires your attention before unlocking. To enable this feature, go to Settings - Face ID Passcode and toggle on the "Face ID with a Mask" switch. If you haven't set this up before, you'll need to re-enter your face into Face ID.
Additionally, if you have "Require Attention for Face ID" selected, Face ID with a Mask will require your attention before unlocking. Upgrade to iOS 15 to use this feature.

2. Facetime Link Sharing

With iOS/iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey, you can create and share Facetime links with others, even if they don't have Apple devices. This is particularly useful for spontaneous calls or video conferences. To create a link, open Facetime, navigate to the call you want to share and tap the Duration/Description option. Enter the necessary information, then tap Share.

3. Text Selection in Photos

If you have an iPhone OS version 15 or later, you can now select and copy text from photos. This feature is incredibly useful for extracting information from billboards, business cards, and other text-based content. To select text, simply tap and hold on the text, then use the on-screen tool to select the desired text. The copied text can then be pasted into other apps.

4. Navigation and App Switching

Quickly switch between open apps by swiping along the bottom of the screen. For left swipes, go to an app you had previously opened. For right swipes, go to the app you just navigated away from. This feature is available on iPhones with Face ID.

5. Use iMessage Instead of WhatsApp

While WhatsApp is a popular messaging app, iMessage offers superior integration with the iPhone portfolio. Use it for both instant messaging and multimedia messaging. It's designed specifically for iPhone users and offers advanced features like automated responses, group stickers, and more.

Additional Tips:
1. Always wear a phone cover to protect your device from damages.
2. Consider getting a tempered glass screen protector for better protection and peace of mind.
3. Switch to iMessage for iPhone to iPhone communication for enhanced features and security.
