Introduction
After purchasing the most expensive package from GATE Academy in Bhilai, my experience was both enlightening and disheartening. This article aims to share my insights and reveal the behind-the-scenes reality of this coaching institute and its leader, Umesh Dhande. Through my research and experiences, I will discuss the questionable practices of GATE Academy, especially in relation to the fake marketing strategies and the manipulation of student success stories.
Unveiling GATE Academy: A Business Motivated Coaching Institute
One of the first red flags I noticed was the marketing strategy of GATE Academy. As someone who made the investment to join their online package for 54k (inclusive of GST), I was under the impression that it would help me at least pass the GATE exam. However, the outcome was far from promising.
Flawed Teaching Methodology
The teaching methodology at GATE Academy is notably inadequate. The coach, Gurupal Sir, is undoubtedly an exceptional mathematician, but his method of teaching is impractical for most students. He focuses on advanced concepts without laying down the necessary foundational knowledge. This means he skips essential 12th-grade math topics and jumps straight into exam-centric content. His approach is clearly geared towards meeting curriculum requirements rather than ensuring well-rounded student understanding.
The Poor Overall Quality of GATE Academy
The proficiency level of GATE Academy's courses is significantly lower than average. According to my experience and those of other students, one cannot possibly qualify for the GATE using their materials. They recycle past questions and offer very little in the way of fresh numerical problems for practice. This suggests a lack of innovation and genuine effort to support students.
The Director, Umesh Dhande: A Hypocritical Figure
Umesh Dhande, the director of GATE Academy, is further stripped of any positive reputation when one delves into his true character. He is portrayed as a humble, down-to-earth person to the public, but the reality is quite different. His actions and marketing tactics paint a picture of a manipulative figure, much like other prominent figures in Indian society, such as Asaram Bapu. He presents a facade of an ideal person while manipulating the lives of his students to amass wealth and fame.
Empirical Evidence of Misleading Claims
To substantiate these claims, I conducted an extensive investigation into their marketing practices. What I uncovered was damning. GATE Academy shamelessly presents testimonials from students who, in reality, have done self-study. They proudly boast of these individuals as their top-performing students, which is a blatant falsehood. This kind of deception is unethical and harmful to aspiring candidates who might be misled by these claims.
Further Evidence of Unethical Practices
Another alarming aspect is their use of fake certification and manipulation to attract new students. When the Indore branch of GATE Academy was closed down, it was because their fraudulent marketing and manipulation were exposed. They were caught buying ranks from students to entice more people to join their academy. This unethical business practice not only violates academic integrity but also further damages the trust of potential students.
Conclusion
In conclusion, GATE Academy in Bhilai and its leader, Umesh Dhande, engage in a range of unethical practices, from poor teaching methodologies to shameless marketing and manipulation. The mere business motive appears to be prioritized over the success and well-being of the students. If you are considering investing in their services, it is crucial to conduct thorough research and question testimonial authenticity to make an informed decision.
