Setting Up a New iPod Classic Without iTunes

For macOS Catalina and Later
Connect Your iPod Classic: Use a USB cable to connect your iPod Classic to your Mac. Open Finder: Open a Finder window. Your iPod should appear in the sidebar under Select Your iPod. Select Your iPod: Click on your iPod Classic in the sidebar. Set Up Your iPod: You may see options to sync your music, movies, and other content.
