A few years ago, we attended a downhill skateboard event. The environment was intense, with rain getting heavier as the day went on. We had a rider we sponsored, and my husband was developing a unique skateboard truck. After much discussion, we finally found ourselves near some straw bales, where we set up the camera.

My husband gave me his SLR camera, saying, "just hold down the button to take consecutive shots per second." The riders went so fast, it was hard to see who was who, but right before the event ended, I captured this breathtaking moment:

I texted my husband: "Holy shit, wait until you see this!"

He had taken hundreds of photos all day, but I got the best shot at the very last run - by accident. This photo has even been featured on our website, Instagram, and Facebook. While the rider missed out on the win, he still stood out in the lead. The photo captures the essence of the event and our brand, Newton.
